Hollister K-Life Home
The question has often been asked, "What do you do?" Well everything we do is done in order to fulfill our vision statement. So here it is!
Hurricane Katrina destroyed the levies around New Orleans and flooded almost 80% of the city. Only a third of the population has returned to the city, even 3 years after Katrina rocked New Orleans. We're going down to help rebuild this city, but more importantly help rebuild the lives of people in specific communities. Whether that is by rebuilding their house, going on prayer walks, or street evangelism to broken people, we are going to be the hands and feet of the local churches in the area and reach out to the people of New Orleans.
We're leaving March 16th early in the morning and working 3 full days to return on Thursday the 20th. Cost of the trip right now is $100 but may go down if donations come in for our trip.
We had an amazing time in St. Louis, and we're bringing that challenge home with us. Tell your friends about Jesus, what He did for you and how He wants to love you and change your life if you'll allow Him.
Anyone in 5th through 8th grade, we'll be at the Jr. High School's gymnasium every Friday. What are we doing there? I'm glad you asked. We're playing some crazy games, laughing a lot, sweating a little, and building a ton of character. Come meet our fun staff and meet some new friends in a different grade.
No this isn't a western movie it is our lives. We are being held ransom by the world we live in. We will answer tough questions about who is in control of us. And we will discover how Christ has paid the ransom for us so we can experience true freedom.
Matthew 20:28
"The Son of Man did not come to be served but to serve and give His life as a ransom for many"
